I either have too little to do of a weekend or am too busy, never seem to achieve a nice balance.
My daughter is holding a family barbecue on Saturday for my two grandsons, one turns 12 tomorrow and the other 9 six days after that. Also celebrating her husband's birthday which was a few days ago and her step-son's 16th birthday. So far have only got two presents so either have to get something tomorrow evening or early Saturday morning. Also have to try and fit in my grocery and fruit shopping before I drive out to their place about an hour and a half away. Will drive back to Brisbane that evening and get up early on Sunday morning to go up the coast to visit my sister. Will also be talking with the rest of my family to see how we can help her when she comes home.
She may be coming home some time next week. There is an organisation here in Australia called Home Assist which comes into the home and assesses what has to be done so that she can manage her day to day living. This is done at no cost to her. They will raise her bed, fix her lounge chair so that it is higher, are taking off her shower door and putting some sort of seat in the shower stall and any other things that need to be rectified before she comes home. All her plates, cooking utensils, etc will have to be put out on top of her kitchen benches so that she doesn't have to bend (something she is not going to like as she is a very tidy person). She is not allowed to bend down for the next 3 months. She has been worrying about being by herself so I have told her that I will take some time off work when she first comes home until she gets her confidence back about managing on her own. My other sister lives close by so she will be able to keep an eye on her once I go home. She will be able to get Meals on Wheels delivered and one of my sisters is going to freeze some meals so that she doesn't have to worry about cooking when she first gets home. She is now walking with crutches so she is doing rather well. Has been having a bit of trouble with her blood pressure (too low) so she is having her blood pressure medication later in the day and that seems to be working.
I hope to get my washing done tomorrow evening otherwise it will have to wait until Sunday night (or I will be going to work like something the cat dragged in). Don't think I will have time to even think about smoking - not that I want to think of it.

You do have your plate full. Those nice perfect weekends are few and far between when we can have just enough to do to make it fun but not so much that we are crazy busy. So glad to hear that your sister is doing better. Sounds like she will have good help when she gets home. Hope you do still enjoy your weekend. Have a great day Dewey! Roxanne

Hey Dewey,
You've had a lot going on lately! I'm sorry to hear about your sister's fall! I'm sure she's very apprehensive about being home alone. Glad she's doing as well as can be expected. It's such a long process for her, but we're sending prayers her way!
You do have a busy weekend! Seems like life is like that at times. Either bored stiff or crazy busy.
Glad to hear you didn't smoke! I would have been crushed! Who'd keep me in line? Hope you have a wonderful weekend and aren't too tired come Monday.

Dewey, somehow I doubt that you'd ever go to work looking like something the cat dragged in........you seem so organised!

Being busy keeps me out of trouble....Hope you can find a little time to relax and enjoy your week end...Thanks for posting.. Today is a good day for I woke and didn't smell roses or hear organ music, which means God has given me another day.
