Ok I have been wondering this for several weeks now.......... I get such a kick out of some of my "handy gadgets" around the home - Thought I might share some of them with you and in return I wonder what you consider to be your favorites......... Here goes.......
Number one has to be the "grabber" - It is like an extension hand - I use mine all the time - especially when a garment falls down the outside of our washer which is in a closet - I just cant get my hand down between the washer and the wall but this is just perfect. I also use it to pick up coins off the floor - my own nails are just too long to allow me to do this. Also use it to get stuff off top shelf - millions of uses for this one.......
Another favorite is my little potato peeler which fits over my index finger and allows me to peel veggies and potatoes with just the sweep of my finger......
I also have a conical piece of rubber which I can put over jar lids and it enables me to open those jars which resist normal attempts..... This gives traction........ very useful......
A more substantial "gadget" that I use every day is my Keurig coffee maker which used pods to give fresh brew every time (I afforded this by giving up smoking!!!!) I can now have a huge selection of flavoured and different blended coffees every day at the flick of a button
I also like my swiffers - havent they made life so much easier - I have both the electric broom and the wet swiffer..... Now floors are a breeze.....
I can think of a ton more but feel it is now your turn......... At least this might keep your mind off of those terrible cravings - who knows - you might even find this to be fun.........
"Never leave another quitter behind" borrowed from BTBasser to whom I owe such a large part of my quit............

I bought a steam cleaner last year and I just love the thing. No more smelly soaps and cleaners. I have a hand held one and a floor one. They both work great. "Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon." Don't know who said it first but I like it.

Wow ... some great gadgets out there. I don't have anything to add here except I like to use green scrubbies to clean carrots and potatoes really well. works better than a brush!
I started to live like God intended...smokefree! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and so can you!

I do not like many, especially elec gadgets, but hubby got one a while back I love now and will as I grow older and weaker in the hands, an electric can AND jar opener. (it was the jars I had most trouble with) and now I know how to use the infernal thing I love it.

If you can call an old type can opener a gadget then that it my favourite. My son-in-law couldn't stand seeing me using the old thing and gave me a much more ritzier one but, I still use the old one, find it so easy (must admit that I bring out the new one when he is around, don't want to offend son-in-law).
