Today himself was moved to an interim care facility about a block from the hospital.  I didn't go today, as the transfer wasn't til late afternoon.  I have called the front desk and have all the info necessary to get there without too much walking...It has an underground garage with handicapped parking, and sounds as if I can make it walking...we will see!!As I understand it, he will remain there until he has the surgery...2 to 3 weeks..Our weather h as been the pits...COLD!!!! Not at all like July should be..coldest since the 30's!!!Thanks for being here for me....Daughter is rarely available, and makes me feel as if I am imposing....Son in law is so busy..but more empathetic..My best friends, that are still alive are not local...one in Mexico, and the other in Arizona.....All my good cronies are gone!!!!!!!!!!My cat seems to know what I am saying...and at 13, am afraid for her demise...she cries for himself...and a siamese cat can be very noisy!!!!!!!!!  So thanks for listening..as usual!!!

Please be careful!  I'm glad to hear that he's moving and is somewhat closer to you.  Try not to overdo it.  We care about you and need you here to keep us out of trouble!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you!  Keep us up to date on his progress.  We miss you!    (((Hugs)))

I would say tonight is a good night to get some rest so you are up to seeing himself tomorrow. Good thoughts and prayers being sent your way.

I'm glad they have a handicapped area in that you can walk into and out of the place.
Two to three weeks?  Oh my.
That's going to feel like a long time...
Or maybe it will fly by.
Give Himself, yourself and the cat a big hug.
(insert hug here)
And feel free to call.
Anytime day or night.

Give daughter a kick up the backside for me.  Maybe I shouldn't say that but you're her Mum and she should be doing all she can to help you.

Cat sound as if she is in fine health if she's voicing her displeasure at one of her people being absent without leave (without her permission).  I had a cat lived to 19 years so she is only middle aged.  My cat is telling me off at the moment because I had the audacity to go out of town for the day (he's going to be pretty cranky when I leave him alone again tomorrow to visit my sister).

Take care Pykke.  Sending good thoughts and prayers your way (and for Himself).

Dewey

Pykke - I think it is so wrong that you are facing this with no support......   You need and should have someone "in the wings" helping you with transportation and a sympathetic ear.....    I dont know what your health care system is like down there but up here we have volunteers and social workers attached to the hospital who give this type of support - they also assist in helping you reach major medical decisions and will simply "just listen"   Have you had the time to check this out because I feel it might give you some relief from the awful stress you are feeling.......... Just remember all those years that you and Himself have paid taxes just so that you can have some support when you need it - it is now time to collect...........You are right though in the fact that you have a ton of on-line pals -

"Never leave another quitter behind" borrowed from BTBasser to whom I owe such a large part of my quit............

The state provides help for seniors free of charge - You should look into this. Maybe your daughter would help you find the right program for you.

Please do check into the senior services Pykke..I belonged to an rganization years ago called the "Gate Keeper" and we did all kinds of things for our seniors for free...and your income is not how it's based it's soley about age...so Please call around and you could at least get free rides to and from the hospital...
